Sickness & Paint

Kyler and I had breakfast with friends week before last. We were talking about how teething affects our little ones and whether or not they seem to have colds when they are teething. I said that I didn't think Kyler normally got a cold when she was teething but that I didn't want to say anything because she hadn't had a cold in a while. Well, guess what happened the next morning...yep, Kyler was sneezing and had a runny nose. She even had a fever and cough the next day. Poor thing. One of the worst things though is that she had trouble going to sleep, so her naps were short and she was out of sorts. Speaking of teeth, Kyler has 11 now and one on the way. One of her bottom front four is just now coming in and seems to be causing her more trouble than her other ones gave her. Hope it is coming in okay.

Vern was out of town last week for work. I like trying to do something around the house to surprise him when he's comes home from business trips. He had suggested we paint our foyer red. I wasn't quite so sure about it, but his sister agreed. So while he and his sister were gone, I went to Lowe's and bought paint. Kyler helped me by taking a long afternoon nap (finally catching up after several days of short naps), and I went to work. The color I picked could only come in Lowe's best paint, which I guess helped in the long run because I only had to do two coats. I'm still not exactly sold on it, but both Vern and his sister said it looks good.
