God's Grace in Potty Training

Kyler was doing awesome using the potty with view accidents before John was born....and then we went back to accidents all the time every day. It was as if she didn't care that she soaked herself. Now she can have some days where she has almost no accidents and some days where there are more accidents than not. With God's help, I've learned to take it in stride. I try not to react negatively when she has accidents, we've given her more responsibility on going by herself and changing herself when she does have an accident, and she gets big cheers and sometimes a treat when she does well.

Why is it that it seems she tends to have a poopy accident as soon as I sit down to nurse John? Well, that's what happened today. I felt myself starting to get frustrated when I walked into the bathroom and saw the mess, so I asked God for much needed patience. And He gave it to me...praise Him! I was able to set John down and clean up the mess with a much better attitude.

Hopefully I'll be able to say we have a potty-trained little girl the next time I write about this subject....but for now, God's grace is enough. =)
