Kyler seemed to pick up something on the flight that started out as a dry cough and then turned into a pretty bad cold. Here is a picture of her during the weekend looking pretty miserable.

We had a relaxing weekend except for Kyler's cold. We celebrated Thanksgiving on that Saturday after watching the Wolfpack beat those Heels....woo hoo!! Great game. Here is a family picture we took the following day.

We left Monday afternoon to come home. Kyler would have been so much better off if she had either taken a nap right before we left or on the 1.5 hr drive to the airport...she fell asleep with 15 minutes driving time left. Then on the first flight that lasted only about 30 min, she fell asleep at the very end, about 5 min before landing. So by the time we actually got on our last flight she was so exhausted and out of it that it took a while to calm her down so that she could finally fall asleep. Didn't it feel good when she finally laid her head down to sleep! Whew.
I ended up picking up whatever she had over the weekend, but it really hit me when we got home. It was probably worse because Kyler had not been sleeping through the night since Friday, and I was exhausted. We finally took Kyler to the doctor on Wednesday. She got an antibiotic for her first ear infection. I held out and called on Monday, and Tuesday I went to my doctor and got an antibiotic as well. I feel like I'm finally getting to the end of this thing.
Funny thing about taking Kyler with me to my doctor....as many times as I told her "This is mama's doctor. They're going to check my ears and listen to my lungs." She still panicked when the doctor or nurse came in, thinking that they were going to do something to her.
Kyler didn't want to take medicine over the weekend, so I was wondering how she would do with her antibiotic. I'm so thankful to say that she fought it at first, but now asks for more when we're finished each time (and no I don't give her more if you're wondering). I sure wish mine tasted that good. I about gagged the first few times...big, dry, caulky, nasty, stick in the back of your throat when you try to swallow it. Julie suggested I put peanut butter on it like she does for her dogs. Thanks Julie! Sooooo much better! Even though still not as good as Kyler's. I'll try and put in my request next time I need an antibiotic...which hopefully won't be for another good while. Thank you, Lord, for good health which I take for granted all too often.
